Blue Bird of Paradise

Blue Bird of Paradise.  Crayon and Photoshop.  Been trying a new(ish) style today which feels like it's going somewhere.  There's still a lot of progress that needs to be made but for once I actually enjoy both the process and the final result.  The image itself is inspired by Charley Harper and all those wonderful ornithological illustrations you find in old text books.

*EDIT* You can now get this print  (or t-shirt if you prefer) online at Society 6!

Museum Drawing

'Nymph preparing for the bath'.  Drawn from a statue at Lincoln's Usher Gallery.  Unfinished because a bunch of school kids turned up *shudder*.

Viking Plush

This little guy is what I've been working on recently.  He's made from recycled acrylic felt, polyester stuffing and is hand embroidered - no sewing machines for this, baby!   He's about a foot tall and sits quite comfortably if you prop him up thanks to a jointed waist.  I had so much fun with it, I think I might make some more characters soon and hopefully sell them.  What do you guys think?
